Demetria Barlow has been in the t-shirt game for quite some time and she has never disappointed me with any t-shirt purchase. As a matter of fact, the t-shirt you see me wearing in the first photo is courtesy of her company Restoration Tees. Be sure to check her out. She also does custom request.
The Real Watkins is new to the apparel scene, but he came out swinging as soon as he launched. He had customers picking up t-shirts from outside of the gate. Lol! Congrats to this new small business owner and the success he is already seeing.
Tanesha Sims-Summers brought out the new Naughty But Nice Kettle Corn Company truck for her first spin. Her name is Ms. Poppy and let me tell you; business was on and poppin’. If you have not tried this amazing kettle corn, then you need to put it on your list. You will forever be a pop head after that. Also, check out my podcast interview with Tanesha to learn about her journey to her poppin’ success here.
Next up is Encore Rouge, and let me tell you, their chicken spinach dip and wings are everything. Oh, and the Shrimp and Chicken Pasta will leave you wanting more. This is my splurge meal food truck and it is worth every penny.
Last, but certainly not least is K&J Elegant Pastries. They are the real deal heavy hitters in the sweet treats game. The Milkshakes are to die for and have been mentioned countless times in news articles, magazines, and on television. I have not personally had the privilege of trying one yet, but my friends swear by them. I can’t wait to get my first experience.
As you all can clearly see, this was the place to be on Juneteenth here in Birmingham, AL. Stay tuned for the next food truck festival hosted by Simone’s Kitchen ATL on July 3, 2020.
My advice is get their early and eat so you can sit back, relax, and enjoy.
Until next time lovies…keep living life while being safe out there.
